Historical Corner of High Street/Church Street

cnrhighchurchThere is a good group of Georgian buildings on the corner of High Street/Church Street that have seen a variety of uses over the years.

No. 2 High Street is featured as part of the Historic Frodsham 2005 panel.

1 Church Street Listed Grade II (Mid 18th century) - This was initially a house, now converted into a shop. It is in brick with stone dressings and has a hipped slate roof. The house is in three storeys, and has three bays on High Street and two on Church Street. At the top of the house is a parapet with a moulded cornice. On the High Street front is a bay window and on the Church Street side is a modern shop front. The windows are sashes.

4 High Street Listed Grade II (Mid 18th century) - Originating as a house, this has been converted for other uses. It is a brick building with stone dressings, and has a hipped slate roof. The house is in three storeys, and has a three-bay front. The windows are a mix of sashes and casements.
